Affordable robotics kit
MDF structure controlled by an ESP32, designed for low cost, with no dependency on imported platforms.
From now on, the program can be licensed by any organization that wants to bring robotics, entrepreneurship and youth leadership to its own region.
There are two ways to use Fx4. One is free, for those who commit to giving the benefit back to their community. The other is full implementation, over a full school year. Both are described on this page.
Plenty of schools already run their own internal competition: build the robots, set a date, play the matches, hand out a trophy. Fx4 is not that.
Fx4 is a 30-hour training program organized around four areas: engineering, automation, management and marketing. Teams receive a kit, build and program an ESP32-controlled robot, and learn to structure themselves as a self-sustaining, financially independent organization. At the end, alongside the arena competition, teams present a portfolio of everything they produced to a panel of judges. The competition is a teaching tool, not the goal.

Step-by-step content for students and coaches. The coach does not need to be a robotics specialist. That is what makes the program viable in schools with no robotics teacher.
Beginner teams connected to experienced athletes and volunteers.
The closing event. Arena matches plus project presentations to judges. Of the eight awards, only the Winning Alliance depends solely on robot performance. The others assess process, learning and community impact.
A robotics program becomes unworkable when the school cannot fund it. That is why the license includes what is normally left out: the Robocopa event organization manual, the sponsorship proposal templates we use ourselves, the cost breakdown per team and per event, and the sponsor reporting documentation.
You do not just get the game. You get the method to fund it.
Fx4 was created inside Robótica DHEL, with the Amigos Droids team, FTC 17792, which in 2026 won the Inspire Award at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship — the first team from outside North America to win it in the history of the event. That same partnership gave rise to Instituto Amigos Droids, a non-profit whose purpose is to make robotics and entrepreneurship accessible to any young person, regardless of background.

The right path depends on what you want to do, not on the size of your budget.
For teams, NGOs and community groups that want to multiply access to robotics where they are. Free license of Fx4 1.0, in exchange for running one Robocopa open to the community.
See the conditionsFor schools, school networks and companies that want a structured educational program, lasting a full year, with continuous support.
See the 2027 programFx4 1.0 is the version we ran between 2025 and 2026: a short cycle of roughly eight weeks, with one game, ending in a Robocopa. This version is released at no license cost to any organization that accepts the conditions below.
The license covers intellectual property: the right to use the Fx4 brand, the Robocopa brand, the game, the platform and the files. No materials are shipped. The Institute sends no kits, parts or components. You receive the purchase list and the fabrication files, and source the materials locally — electronics, MDF cutting and assembly.
Expect roughly 35 US dollars per team for the components alone. The figure varies with supplier, quantity and exchange rate, and excludes shipping and tools.
If your intention is to run Fx4 as a permanent program inside your own school, with support throughout the year, the next path is yours.
From 2027, Fx4 becomes a full school-year program: two phases, five Meets, two Robocopas and a new educational platform, with the Meets methodology built into the content.
Focus on the competition arena, technical training, robot construction and team organization. It ends with a Robocopa in the format we run today.
Focus on entrepreneurship. Teams use the kits to create sellable products and the Robocopa becomes a product competition, in the style of a startup investment round.
The complete Fx4 methodology, access to the digital content platform and monthly asynchronous online competitions, which we call Meets. Each month, teams from around the world compete against each other and receive AI-generated feedback on their performance in each area.
Everything in Tier 1, plus personalized mentoring with the team after each Meet, to review results and plan the next cycle.
Everything in Tier 2, plus an AI assistant trained on Fx4 content, available to coaches and students throughout the year.
Pricing on request. Register your interest and we will get in touch.
Tell me more about 2027Fx4 was designed to grow in depth, not only in number of participants. The eight-week cycle proved the model works at low cost. The annual program solves the next problem: discontinuity. A young person who goes through eight weeks has an experience. A young person who goes through a full school year, with five Meets and two Robocopas, builds a repertoire.
The artificial intelligence layer — automated feedback in Tier 1, a permanent assistant in Tier 3 — exists to solve the real bottleneck of scale: there are not enough human mentors in Brazil to support ten thousand teams. There are, if AI handles continuous follow-up and humans handle the decisive moments.
The Institute's goal is to reach 100,000 young people by 2030. Open licensing is the instrument.
